Liberia is now free of Ebola after going 42 days, that doubles the maximum incubation period for the deadly disease without any new cases, according to the World Health Organization announced Saturday. President Ellen Johnson while celebrating the milestone she told new sources the damage wrought by the worst Ebola outbreak in history is ‘a scar on the conscience of the world.’ Meanwhile, new cases were reported this week in near by Sierra Leone and in Guinea, the other two countries hit hardest by Ebola. A White House statement congratulated Liberia but urged vigilance to keep Ebola from coming back. ‘We must not let down our guard until the entire region reaches and stay at zero Ebola cases,’ the statement said.
