One of my favorite foods in the whole world is the hot dog. And according to history, this food favorite has been on menus long before you and I were even thought of. This European sausage has traveled the globe and taken on various aliases such as Frankfurters, Frankfurts, franks, wieners, weenies, tube steak, and Oscar Meyers. In fact it was said that the Frankfurter was developed in 1487 in Vienna (Wien) Austria which is where the term Wiener comes from.
OK OK OK enough wenieology! Lets talk about Good Dog Houston, one of the few places in town where you can get premium Texas made select hot dogs served on local Artisan buns, with home-made condiments and flavor out of this world! Good Dog Houston started off when the owners Amalia and Daniel Caballero decided to take his love for hot dogs and her passion for making home-made condiments from hobby to small business. The couple decided to purchase a food truck to grow their business, which is now parked outside of their very busy and quaint bungalow style restaurant where you can enjoy the vibe of the heights from the deck out from or the patio in the back. If you’re ever in search of a tasty wiener…..I highly suggest Good Dog Houston CHECK IT OUT!
