You may want to start stocking up on ice cream now. That’s because the worst outbreak of bird flu in U.S. history is wiping out chickens and turkeys at an alarming rate.  According to FOX News,

You can expect not only the price of a carton of eggs to go up, but also the prices of products like ice cream and mayonnaise which use liquid eggs as an ingredient. Fifteen states have confirmed cases of avian flu, including Iowa, which supplies a fifth of the country’s eggs, and has been hit particularly hard. Analysts warn that it takes time to build new flocks of laying chickens, and say prices will likely keep climbing, especially for liquid eggs.
