Nichelle Nichols, if you’re a trekkie like me, you remember her from playing Lieutenant Uhura in ‘Star Trek, was rushed to a hospital Wednesday night after suffering a mild stroke, according to TMZ. Nichols appeared on both the ‘Star Trek TV,’ show and six of the films, the last one was, ‘Star Trek VI,’ ‘The Undiscovered Country.’ As a kid I was a big van of the original Star Trek television series and lieutenant Uhura, was my favorite, I even had a poster of her on my bedroom wall. A rep for Nichelle, says she’s awake and resting comfortably at an L.A. hospital. The 82-year-old was taken by ambulance from her home Wednesday night.
