One of the greatest mini series of all time is ‘Roots,’ Laurence Fishburne is joining the ‘Roots’ miniseries reboot. On Wednesday A&E Networks said that Fishburne will play writer Alex Haley, whose novel about his African-American ancestry was the basis of the original TV miniseries. A&E said, the new project draw on the late Haley’s novel, ‘Roots: The Sage Of An American Family,’ alone with new research.
