It’s been over two decades since the end of The Cosby Show and Keshia Knight Pulliam is still best known for her role as Rudy Huxtable. While she’s had several minor tv and film roles including Tyler Perry’s, Madea Goes To Jail and House of Payne, the 36-year old has yet to land any major breakout roles.

She most recently starred in the TV One film, Will To Love opposite Marques Houston and Draya Michele (Basketball Wives: LA). In the film, Keshia plays Rachel Paris, the assistant of Jamal Hawkins (Houston) an heir to a toilet paper corporation. Her job is to help him find a wife within the next 90 days in order for him to receive his multi-million dollar inheritance.

In case you missed it, don’t worry, Will To Love is now on DVD #NetflixAndChill. In promoting the film, Keshia recently spoke to The Grio who tactfully asked her if she could be doing a higher caliber of work. She dodged the question and highlighted some of her accomplishments, “…What are you gonna do to leave the world a better place than when you found it? Not just in the roles that I pick but in the life that I lead” she began.

“Whether it’s being at the White House and supporting “Let Girls Learn” with Michelle Obama or being a surrogate for the Obama campaign and getting people out to vote, I feel that when you’re given this platform, it’s about how to give back to others as a result of it” she added.

The interviewer would be remiss if he didn’t ask Keisha if she’s changed her perspective on Bill Cosby based on the 50 women that have alleged he sexually assaulted them. “My comment [‘that’s just not the man I know’ ] doesn’t really change, because, still, regardless of how many… that’s just not the man I know. That’s not who I experienced. I never had that interaction with him, so I can’t speak to it.”

When asked if she feels the legacy of the beloved series, The Cosby Show has been “irreparably tarnished”, Keshia said, “I hope that it hasn’t. I can say that, based upon the people that continuously approach me and talk about how it’s profoundly impacted their lives, I don’t feel you can take that back.”

She added, “You can’t take back the impact that it’s had on generations of kids, and it’s continuing to have such a positive impact on them. So I feel like the place that it has in people’s hearts is such a nostalgic part of childhood and beyond, it’s going to be difficult to take back those memories.”
