Mary J. Blige wants to bring her life story to the Broadway Stage.
In an interview with Playbill, Mary, who has had been through alcohol addiction, abusive relationship and dropping out of school at age 17, said,
“I definitely want to see the Mary J. Blige story — or just one of the album cycles — on Broadway. To just have one of those albums, turns or times on Broadway would be crazy.”
That would be a good story to tell, especially with her music infused into the play. I’d be there for it!
