Comedian and actor Deon Cole is best known for his writing role on The Tonight Show with  Conan O’Brien and became a fan favorite on ABC’s Blackish. The Chicago native is gearing for his role in Angie  Tribeca, a new crime drama on TBS and the third installment of the popular Barbershop series.

He talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about his new projects and how he keeps so many jobs.

Are we going to see more of Charlie on Blackish?

“You got to keep watching the show. Honestly though, my new show, Angie Tribeca, I had that show before I had Blackish. I was waiting on that show to start and I had a meeting with Kenya Barris to talk about writing for the show,” he said.

The premise behind Angie Tribeca:

“We’re showing all 10 episodes for 25 hours straight, no commercials. It’s kind of like Naked Gun. It’s got Rashida Jones, Quincy Jones’ daughter. I play her partner.”

Angie Tribeca airs January 17th on TBS at 9p EST.
