Media reports are saying that Verizon has agreed to buy Yahoo for some $5 billion.
The deal is expected to be announced formally today before the markets open, according to the reports. AP reports that,
Yahoo is expected to sell its email service and news, finance and sports websites in addition to its advertising tools, after Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer’s efforts failed to turn around the company.
