John Legend is getting his executive producer on, on a new series for WGN America about Black Wall Street.
The term refers to the Greenwood neighborhood of Tulsa, Oklahoma that was home to the wealthiest members of the black community in the early 20th century. The neighborhood was destroyed when a race riot broke out in 1921 and nearly 300 black people were killed.
