Houston Actor and former University of Houston Graduate student Kedrick Brown will Guest-star as legendary Alonzo Williams of The World Class Wrecking Cru in the new Liftime Original NWA film, Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michele premiering Saturday, October 15 at 8PM ET/PT.

Celebrated hip-hop recording artist Michel’le who recorded her first song, Before You Turn off the Lights with the Wrecking Cru will speak up and speak out about the darker side of Compton hip-hop as she narrates the Lifetime Original Movie based on her life story. The first lady of Ruthless Records, who triumphed over a life riddled with abuse and adversity, is ready to share her story with the world. Produced by Sony Pictures Television and Thinkfactory Media.

Most recently, Brown appeared in the hit OWN tv series Greenleaf,  the award-winning ABC series, American Crime and STARZ series Survivors Remorse where his portrayal of ChoCho is described by its director as very authentic. Kedrick can be seen now starring in The Ensemble Theatre’s 40th Anniversary production of Sassy Mamas. Tickets are available HERE.

A versatile actor and dancer, Brown will costar in Season 2 of the the WGN series, Underground starring Aldris Hodge and Jurnee Smollett-Bell.

Brown, earned his Bachelor of Arts in theater from the University of North Texas and trained in the University of Houston’s M.F.A. program with a focus in acting. His film credits include “The Night Before”, “God and Country,” “Czech Beautiful” and “Friday Night Lights.” Brown’s theater credits include”Detroit ’67”, “Fly”,  “Macbeth,” and “Hamlet.”He has also landed principal appearances in a variety of national and international commercials for popular brands such as Shell, Ford, Sudden Link, Footlocker, American Express, Fuddruckers, Academy Sports, Heineken and Blair Underwood’s BU Collection.
