Tina Lawson, Solange and Kelly Rowland are set to throw an event in Baton Rouge to raise $1 million to help families recover after this summer’s flooding. The women — who teamed up with Essence, with support from Beyonce and her BEYGOOD initiative, will host “Love on Louisiana: An Essence Hometown Heroes Tribute.” The event will go down on November 20th at the Raising Cane’s River Center. The event will honor standout students and teachers who are committed to help rebuild their communities. They also have the support from the City of Baton Rouge and the State of Louisiana.
