According to CNN,

Ivanka Trump is getting a formal role in her father’s presidential administration, announcing yesterday (March 29th) that she will become a federal employee with the title of assistant to the president. She will not, however, have a salary. The move came after ethics experts criticized the previously announced arrangement of her having a West Wing office but no formal role, charging it allowed her to avoid financial disclosure and other transparency requirements. Trump previously worked as an executive at her father’s Trump Organization and ran her lifestyle brand that sells clothing and jewelry, positions she gave up to come to Washington, although she kept ownership of her brand.

Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner, is a senior adviser to the president.  Nepotism anyone?
