According to NBC News, James Murdoch, the CEO of 21st Century Fox and son of Fox News chairman and CEO and President Trump friend Rupert Murdoch, rebuked Trump for his response to the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, yesterday (August 17th) in a memo to staff. In it, Murdoch wrote,

“I can’t believe I have to write this: standing up to Nazis is essential; there are no good Nazis. Or Klansmen, or terrorists. Democrats, Republicans, and others must all agree on this, and it compromises nothing for them to do so.”

He added that, quote,

“What we watched this last week in Charlottesville and the reaction to it by the President of the United States concern all of us as Americans and free people.”

Trump has said that “both sides” were to blame for the violence at the rally, meaning both the white supremacists, neo-Nazis and KKK members, and the counterprotesters to them.
