Due to the extremely unfortunate event of Hurricane Harvey hitting the city of Houston and it’s surrounding major metropolitan area, the 2017 Labor Day Classic game has been rescheduled to happen on Thanksgiving weekend. The legendary collegiate matchup is still scheduled to take place at BBVA Compass Stadium, but no official date or time has been released or announced. The last time the Labor Day Classic game was played on Thanksgiving weekend was in 2005, due to Hurricane Katrina. Be sure to keep listening to The People’s Station for any further details and updates for this southern HBCU throw-down. You may also visit the PVAMU or TSU website for any other school information concerning the postponement.
