Meek Mill’s attorney is pushing for Judge Genece Brinkley to be removed from the rapper’s case following reports that she is under investigation by the FBI. According to The Jasmine Brand,

New court documents reveal that Brinkley was probed by the FBI after sentencing Meek to jail time, despite the District Attorney and the rapper’s probation officer requesting no time in prison. The investigation is a result of her conduct and his gun and drug case.  Court documents filed by Meek’s team on Monday (December 4th) allege that “there was an FBI investigation related to [Brinkley’s] conduct in connection with Mr. Williams’ case” that the rapper and his defense have been aware of since 2016. Meek’s team is arguing that the investigation raises questions about the judge’s ability to fairly preside over the case.

Brinkley recently denied Meek’s bail request, saying that he was a “flight risk” and a “danger to the community.”  The system is so messed up.
