The KIPP charter school network fired its co-founder Mike Feinberg on Thursday after three allegations of sexual misconduct. The firing ends an association with an administrator who helped build KIPP into a regional and national power.

School leaders said an independent investigation found “credible evidence” related to allegations of misconduct involving a former student and two former KIPP employees. The allegations dated from the late 1990s to the mid-2000s.

Feinberg denied the allegations according to KIPP leaders but those leaders determined the claims and findings merited his firing.
