Wasn’t expecting this bit of ’90s R&B news were you? Color Me Badd singer Bryan Abrams was arrested in Tyre, New York, in the early hours of Sunday, July 22, for assaulting his bandmate Mark Calderon on stage.

A concertgoer shared a video on YouTube of Abrams, 48, walking over to Calderon, 47, and shoving him to the ground after a performance of the R&B group’s 1991 hit “I Wanna Sex You Up” at del Lago Resort & Casino.

Per TMZ:

An eyewitness tells TMZ Abrams, the lead singer in the group was having a bad night with his voice. He eventually walked off stage he was so frustrated.

Calderon hit some sound equipment on his way to the floor, and was hurt. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for neck and back pain.

Color Me Badd rose to popularity in the early ’90s with hits such as “I Adore Mi Amor,” “All 4 Love,” and “I Wanna Sex You Up”. Abrams was released from jail an hour after he was booked on misdemeanor assault charges. He’s due back in court in August.
