Beyoncé has changed the game over at Vogue magazine. According to VIBE , Bey was reportedly given “unprecedented control” over the September issue of the magazine per a contractual obligation. As a result, she has hired 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell, who is the first black photographer to shoot a cover for Vogue in its 126-year history.

Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Winter, has had complete control over each issue of the magazine, down to selecting the outfits worn by celebs on the cover. However, Complex reports that the September cover is likely to be Wintour’s last issue, according to sources close to her. An insider told HuffPost why Beyoncé chose Mitchell to shoot her for the cover, saying, “The reason a 23-year-old black photographer is photographing Beyoncé for the cover of Vogue is because Beyoncé used her power and influence to get him that assignment.”

Mitchell has previously shot campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, Ray-Ban, Nike, Converse, Mercedes Benz and a host of others.

In other news, Lil Kim has hinted that she and Beyoncé are working have a new record on her new album. During a recent interview, she said, “We’ve been We’ve been showing each other love.” She added, “Put it out there.”
