UPDATE (1/7): Gruesome details have emerged in the slayings of a woman’s three children and his own daughter.

Junaid Memood is charged with capital murder of multiple persons. The 27-year-old confessed to killing his biological daughter, six-week-old Ashanti Mehmood, 1-ear-old Prince Larry Brown and 5-year-old Angela Pilot. He also stands accused of beating Kimaria Nelson and shooting her multiple times in the face with a high-powered pellet gun.

Nelson is the mother of all three children.

Authorities say Mehmood’s brother called police after finding a large amount of blood on the walls and floors of the apartment when he showed up to check on his brother.

Police say the three children were found dead inside the apartment and a trail of blood led to a locked bathroom door. Inside the bathroom, Nelson was found covered in blood. Officers say Nelson was found with airlift gun pellets embedded in her head and face.

Mehmood said he stabbed Prince in the heart and chest multiple times with a screwdriver and he struck Angela on the head with a Hamer and stabbed her with the screwdriver. He also told authorities that he broke one of Angela’s arms. He also told authorities that he killed young Ashanti but couldn’t remember how he did it.

ORIGINAL STORY: Junaid Mehmood, the man police say claimed to have killed his three children and shot his wife, is now in custody.

Police say the man called 911 from Houston to turn himself into Texas City authorities on Thursday night. He was arrested near the Panera Bread on El Dorado Boulevard near the Gulf Freeway. Police say he was taken into custody on a warrant unrelated to the killings and will be held in the Texas City jail.

He’s now charged with two counts of capital murder and 1 count of assault with a deadly weapon. According to the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office, all three children suffered multiple stab wounds as well as blunt force trauma.
