The first trailer for Little is here featuring an all-star cast in Regina Hall, Issa Rae and black-ish‘s own Marsai Martin! The film is a body-swap comedy that follows Jordan (Hall), a fiercely independent exec who gives off the vibes of being a super bully. If it’s not done her way, then it’s not done right (I’m sure a few of us have a few bosses who feel that way). Most of that frustration is taken out on her assistant April (Rae) and then, something rather magical happens. On the eve of the company’s biggest pitch yet, Jordan wakes up as the 13-year-old version of herself (Martin). The move forces her to look inward at her own insecurities
“When Jordan was a young child she was a nerd, and she was bullied,” producer Will Packer told Shadow And Act. “She said, ‘When I grow up, I’m not going to let anybody bully me.’ Now, Big Jordan is a bully. She is mean to everybody; this is like The Devil Wears Prada. She acts this way because she is really insecure and she is running from that little nerd girl she used to be. What’s funny about this movie is having Marsai playing Regina. A lot of the dynamic is between Marsai’s character and Issa’s character April, who is Jordan’s assistant.”
Little premieres in theaters on April 12th.
