The BCBG runway show took place this past Thursday at New York’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and to be frank, it was a huge bummer.
While the BCBG brand is not necessarily known to be on the cutting edge of high-end fashion, it is still known as a stylish fashion house for the city-chic woman. Unfortunately, none of this came across in the fall 2010 collection. Designer Max Azria provided nothing more than a drab color palette with white stockings and a mish-mosh of fabrics that totally disagree with each other. The models seemed to be playing an epic game of “how many ways can we wear the same piece of cloth.” There were a few looks that were satisfactory, but overall BCBG left us feeling uninspired and confused.
