Bridge From Galleria To Memorial Park Coming
A new $22 million bridge and elevated trail system will soon make it easier for hikers and bikers in Uptown Houston to access Memorial Park. The 350-foot suspension bridge is part of a 2-mile extension connecting the Uptown hike-and-bike trail to Memorial Park’s primary trails. Construction is set to begin in spring 2026 after the design phase is completed this year. The project received funding from the Texas Department of Transportation and is managed by Uptown Houston, the agency overseeing the area that includes the Galleria and other complexes.
