Christie beat Councilwoman Jones 55 percent to 45 percent to take the At-Large Position 5 seat. It marked the fifth time since 2007, counting general elections and runoffs, the two faced off. Patrick Wayne Simmons turned himself over to members of the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force early Sunday.  He was one of Houston’s most wanted fugitives.  He capture was aided by the billboard campaign. Patrick is accused of a string of bank robberies. Read More
