20. Drunk Elephant C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream

Making our day today: #CTango just received another review from @BeautypediaReviews and it’s a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! "#DrunkElephant's made a mark in the beauty world for producing top-notch skincare products in great packaging, and its #CTango Eye Cream is no exception, easily ranking among the best eye creams we've reviewed. That's reassuring to know given the price point is on the higher side for eye creams, though not by much. Housed in an opaque plastic bottle with a pump dispenser, this fragrance-free product is creamy without being heavy, melting into skin to provide instant hydration and smoothness with a finish that isn't greasy. It also wears well under makeup without affecting its texture or causing any pilling. Just be sure that during the daytime you apply an SPF-rated product over this, as the delicate eye area needs UV shielding, too! While C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream fulfills the basic smoothing and hydrating aspects of an eye cream, what makes it worthy of strong consideration is its impressive ingredient list. Among the beneficial ingredients are an abundance of antioxidants (including the five forms of vitamin C advertised), along with numerous skin-replenishing, skin-soothing, and skin-restoring ingredients like peptides. This all adds up to an eye cream that can do exactly what it says, which is to help strengthen the skin in the eye area so it looks firmer and acts younger. The vitamin C blend might help lighten the look of dark circles, too—at least if your undereye darkness is caused in part by sun damage rather than genetics. While an eye cream isn't necessary for everyone, if you select this one you'll be getting one of the top options around. We'll dance to that beat!" #drunkinlove 🧡@sephora

This week's #FAQFriday🐘 (ask questions in the comments, our founder Tiffany Masterson might just respond! Her answers are marked – TM): What exactly does “clean" mean? I’m starting to see it everywhere from beauty brands and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of consistency. A: The definition of “clean” to me has never changed since I launched Drunk Elephant.  It means BIOCOMPATIBLE, which means non-toxic for body and skin, able to be recognized, understood and used. I have a list on my website of ingredients we avoid due to their potential to disrupt our health *internally*, but we also have a list called the #Suspicious6 that includes the ingredients we avoid and believe cause disruption to the external body, the skin organ itself.  Clean doesn’t include the #Suspicious6 because the skin cannot thrive when subjected to them. Some examples include marketing ingredients, like essential oils or silicones, that prevent skin from functioning as it should. (Clean means no orange essential oil in our vitamin C serum—which also means...smoky medicinal natural scents from ferulic acid that some might call “hot dog-like!” 🌭 😂) Very unfortunately, “Clean” is quickly becoming a buzzy, marketing term and this can be highly confusing to the consumer. Anyone can slap the word “clean” on a product, but the consumer needs to understand it’s not regulated, just like “natural” and “organic”. I know what clean means to my consumer, nothing gets by them, they are super savvy and they advocate for themselves not waiting on brands to do it for them, but we still have a lot of work to do to get the message of our philosophy out there.  I push hard because I believe my approach really works. Today, I would like to ask my Instagram community: What does “clean” mean to you?  Please share in the comments. Can’t wait to hear your answers! TM  #acleanbreak #drunkelephant

($80, A super-potent vitamin C day serum packed with a powerful antioxidant complex, essential nutrients, fruit enzymes and a chronopeptide that provides the benefits of vitamin D, all working together to firm and brighten the appearance of skin while improving the signs of photoaging. Key ingredients – indian gooseberry, virgin marula oil and licorice root extract.

22. Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum

($27.19, This award-winning serum is a harmonious blend of antioxidants that work wonders on evening skin tone, smoothing texture, and improving the overall appearance of the skin. Key ingredient – Konjac Root Powder – Exotic flower from Asia, helps to soften & smooth the skin while forming a thin protective barrier.

23. InstaNatural Vitamin C Serum

($17.07, A great budget option, this serum also includes Ferulic Acid to defend against damage, as well as Hyaluronic Acid and Sea Buckthorn Oil to support the skin’s protective barrier.

24. The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%

View this post on Instagram

Say hello to Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone, our new offering to join the very big family of Vitamin C solutions from The Ordinary. This stable formula uses very lightweight silicones to offer a smooth skin feel and to avoid the short-lived gritty texture of stable Vitamin C suspension systems that some find undesirable. This formula is very strong and almost always causes a stinging sensation during initial periods of use, but can be diluted on each application with serums or creams to reduce this stinging while skin builds tolerance. ‎(30ml US/CA$6.80, £5.80). Oh.. and it goes without saying that the formula contains no water as water always causes Vitamin C to oxidize regardless of how a formulation is packaged or stored, resulting in an ongoing change in colour toward orange. Water, without exception, causes Vitamin C to degrade and changes its potential from an anti-oxidant to a pro-oxidant. Some brands add orange-coloured ingredients to their formulations to mask the appearance of Vitamin C oxidation. If you see any signs of orange (or, in short, if you see pure Ascorbic Acid and water together in a formula), run as fast and as far away as you can. ❤️🐒 UPDATE (Aug 3, 2017): Since this posting, a few posts have directly and indirectly criticized us by suggesting that Vitamin C is good, or even better, when it oxidizes, which is completely untrue. Our lab team has now published a comprehensive discussion on this topic which can be found by visiting ⚗️🐒 Brands should just make their formulations better instead of finding criticism that doesn't apply.

25. The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturizer
