That Al Roker sure gets around. Not only does he have a great day job as the longtime weatherman for “Today;” Roker is also a producer with two shows on other networks.

You may not associate the affable weatherman with Mexican drug cartels, but Al Roker Entertainment is the producer of “Bordertown: Laredo” a 10-part series airing on A&E that follows a small U.S. police squad attempting to defend the American border from an influx of Mexican drug dealers. Laredo, Texas, which sits on the border of the U.S. and Mexico, is one of the most popular entry points for illegal drugs in the country.

In the first season of “Bordertown: Laredo,” this unit of five Mexican-American officers seized over $12 million in illegal drugs. The show airs Thursdays at 10 p.m., and if you missed the first two episodes this season, you can watch full episodes here.

While weather can play a role in curtailing drug activity, it’s certainly critical for the Coast Guard operations. Roker heads over to The Weather Channel to produce “Coast Guard Alaska,” a show that follows a Coast Guard unit stationed in Kodiak, Alaska. This seven-episode show covers the unit both on and off-duty, working in the extreme weather conditions the area can produce.

“We just celebrated the second year of ‘Wake Up with Al’ on The Weather Channel, so this was my anniversary gift to the network,” Roker said. “In all seriousness, ‘Coast Guard Alaska’ is a compelling series and one we feel will captivate The Weather Channel audience. We feel privileged that the Coast Guard has allowed us this inside look at their awe-inspiring daily lives.”

“Coast Guard Alaska” airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. on The Weather Channel.
