If you are inquisitive, bold, brazen and daring, then make plans to head to the Houston Zoo and view the DINOSAURS! exhibit the Houston Zoo. You can come face to face with some of the worlds largest animals that have been known to walk the face of the earth.

According to the Houston Zoo, various species of dinosaurs will be featured along with information and life-like replicas of the prehistoric animals:”This year, the Houston Zoo is featuring 19 dinosaurs (almost twice as many as our 2010 presentation) representing 12 prehistoric species and highlighting those that once roamed Texas, with all but two found in our region.”

The Houston Zoo, in partnership with Orkin are presenting DINOSAURS!at the Houston Zoo beginning May 4, 2012 and lasting until September 3, 2012. The exhibit will be open daily from 9:00 A.M. till 6:30 P.M. Tickets for the feature are are $3 per person with regular Zoo admission.

Check out the details and happenings with the DINOSAURS! exhibit at the Houston Zoo:

THE DINOSAURS (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.) 19 dinosaurs representing 12 prehistoric species move, roar and two even spit water.

DINOSAUR! DIG (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.) 24 square foot sandbox where children can connect with their ‘inner-archaeologist’ and dig for dinosaur bones and fossils and learn more about prehistoric creatures.

DINOSAUR MURAL (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) Children combine art and prehistoric animals with a 5 foot tall 16 foot long ‘coloring book’ mural includes many of the dinosaurs featured in the exhibit.

THE ‘BABY’ T-REX (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) An up close encounter with a miniature T-rex and its intrepid handler ‘The Amazing Bennett’ at various times throughout the day.
