(HOUSTON, TX)– A Sugar Land man will have to stay in jail until his trial on child porn charges.
Charges were filed against 52-year-old Glenn Portwood on March 20th for receiving, possessing, and attempting to distribute child porn. Portwood was arrested on Wednesday and appeared in federal court where the government contended that over 50,000 pictures and 1,300 videos were found on his hard drive. The judge noted Portwood to be a danger to the community and a flight risk.
He has been ordered to remain in federal custody until his trial set for May 19th.
