(HOUSTON, TX) A south Houston woman survives being hit by a car and thrown into a ditch, but says her emotional injuries are the worst.

Our news partner, KHOU 11, reports that Deronsula Brue was walking in the 4300 block of Ward St., Friday evening when a car slammed into her from behind, traveled for several yards with her on the hood, then hit the brakes to throw her off.

A neighbor heard the impact and found Brue in the ditch.  She was taken to Ben Taub Hospital with a broken shoulder, fractured wrist and internal injuries.

Witnesses say the car that struck Brue was a white Chevy Impala.
