(HOUSTON) – Fathers that need help when it comes to doing their daughter’s hair can find it this Friday and Saturday in Houston’s Midtown.
Shawna Farooq is the owner of Zayd’s Natural Kids Salon and says she put together the “Daddy Day Boot Camp” in response to a need she saw in her salon.
NEWS 92 FM’s Maria Todd reports:
“There are more and more dads that are single parents now,” Farooq said.
“So a lot of ‘em are hungry for this information. They’re really needing this information. The kids are confused, they’re like, ‘Dad’s doing my hair,’ but the dads, they’re a little nervous but very receptive.”
Dad’s will learn basic hair care, and simple styling techniques like parting the hair, making a ponytail and and a basic braid.
