(CONROE, TX) — A former Woodlands High School athlete is being mourned after drowning in Lake Conroe.
Elliot Richoux was a star baseball player for The Woodlands who went to Howard College and had made his way to Texas Tech.
Richoux was killed when he dove into water that was only five feet deep. His coach at The Woodlands, Ron Eastman, says he was a great young man.
“He loved life, he had a really good sense of humor,” Eastman said. “He was one of those kids who could talk to his teammates as well as his coaches really well.”
Richoux would have turned 22 later this month.
