Egypt on Sunday said it banned Ridley Scott’s biblical epic ‘Exodus: Gods & Kings’ because the Hollywood blockbuster distorts Egypt’s history, as well as attempts to ‘Judaize Egyptian civilization.’
A discombobulated, though ambitious movie about Moses (Christian Bale) and Ramses (Joel Edgerton) and how they were raised as brothers but how the Lord God will catapult the two of them to fight. One for the freedom of his people and one for the stabilization for his kingdom. The special effects were superb but the storyline didn’t follow the biblical teachings which cause me to feel disconnected and lose interest with the plot. I gave the movie a (C-).
