Yesterday on Sunday Morning Live, Marcus Davis discussed the assassination of 21 year old Carl B. Hampton on July 26, 1970 by a Houston police officer. Hampton, a member of the People’s Party II, the precursor for the Black Panther Party Houston Chapter became a martyr for his bold and uncompromising stand for all oppressed people.

As we mentioned on the show, this son of Pleasantville will be celebrated at Carl Hampton Day, this Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Judson Robinson Sr. Community Center at 1422 Ledwicke St., Houston, TX 77029.
