James Patterson is a high school student who recently participated in a civics activity by volunteering for Donald Trump’s Iowa Caucus campaign. He wanted to determine for himself if sentiments expressed in the media about Donald Trump were accurate. First of all, this young man doesn’t sound like a typical junior in high school, but more like a political major at a university. He did say that in the midst of avid Trump supporters, he sensed “apprehension and distrust” while volunteering and that he had heard comments that confirmed what he had suspected.
