If you’ve been feeling itchy lately it might not just be winter dry skin, it might be due to stress.   According to Women’s Health,

A new study published in the International Journal of Dermatology reveals that stress activates the hippocampus, the same area of your brain in which itch signals are also processed. Other than reaching for Benadryl for some minor itch relief, mindfulness expert Mallika Chopra says you can attempt to calm down, saying, “The next time you find yourself panicking or reacting to a situation with anxiety, consciously slow your breath. Inhale to the count of three, and exhale out to the count of three. Even doing this three times in a moment of panic can shift how you approach a situation.”
