Advocates for legalized pot demonstrated on Saturday (April 2nd) by lighting up outside the White House at the appropriate time of 4:20 p.m.

More than 100 demonstrators held their smoke-in to protest federal laws against marijuana, saying they want it removed from the list of Schedule 1 controlled substances, which includes heroin and ecstasy.

Since pot has been legalized by Washington, D.C., no one was arrested. The protesters did inflate a 51-foot giant balloon joint against law enforcement orders, however the Secret Service just maneuvered it away from the White House.  Smart move.
