If you’re looking for a reason to open a bottle of wine tonight, here it is! According to The Daily Mail,

New data reveals couples with the same drinking habits tend to be happier than couples where only one partner drinks. University of Michigan researchers analyzed survey responses from over 2,700 married couples over a ten year period. The results showed that when wives drank and the husbands didn’t the wives reported they were more dissatisfied with their marriage. The amount people consumed was less important than whether both partners had the same drinking habits. Study author, Dr. Kira Birditt says, “We’re not sure why this is happening, but it could be that couples that do more leisure time activities together have better marital quality.”

Hmmm…well, couples, drink up!!
