US-ELECTION-VOTE

I saw this break yesterday evening on MSNBC,

A classified National Security Agency report published online by The Intercept yesterday (June 5th) after being leaked says that Russian hackers attacked at least one U.S. voting software supplier just days before last November’s presidential election. It also said phishing emails were sent to more than 100 local election officials around the same time. The report doesn’t say whether the hacking had any effect on the election results, but it does show that the election hacking made it further into our voting system than had previously been known. Soon after the report appeared on The Intercept, the Justice Department announced it had charged a 25-year-old government contractor named Reality Winner with leaking a classified report containing top secret information to an online news agency, which is believed to be the report published yesterday by the Intercept. The FBI said the government had been notified of the leaked report by the news outlet that received it. It was determined that only six employees had made physical copies, and Winner was one of them. Investigators also found Winner had exchanged email with the news outlet using her work computer.

So, it’s even worst than what I thought.  SMH
