Good luck sneaking outside snacks into the theater at Cinemark locations across the country. The movie chain is enacting  a new bag policy that prohibits large bags from being brought into the theater. Per the company’s website, bags or packages larger than 12 inches x 12 inches x 6 inches will not be allowed in the theater. The policy was adopted “in an effort to enhance the safety and security of our guests and employees.”

Diaper bags and medical equipment bags are exempt from the policy. The company has also revealed that theater employees reserve the right to inspect all bags and packages entering the theater. Naturally, movie buffs and fans have challenged and joked about the rule.
