Ice Cube is a busy man these days. The rapper is working on a new album that will be his first since 2010’s I Am The West. He announced an album, Everythang’s Corrupt, back in 2014. By 2016, he told HipHopDx.com, “I had to put it down for a minute to finish these movies and make sure they were right . . . To make sure Ride Along 2 was right, Barbershop and Straight Outta Compton . . . and this is going to be the end of it. I did a movie called Fist Fight.”
- On Friday, June 1st, when he was asked about the album again, Cube simply replied, “This fall.”
- The rapper was also asked about the next installation in the Friday series. He responded, “Finishing script.”
- The last Friday movie was the third in the series, Friday After Next, which was released in 2002.
