You know what?  Beauty sleep dose exist!  According to The Daily Mail,

Researchers have discovered that just one night of partial sleep disturbance can be enough to make you look pretty bad, and may even be enough to increase your risk of developing disease. UCLA researchers had 29 adult participants experience partial sleep deprivation for four nights. The experiments included two nights of uninterrupted sleep, one night of partial sleep deprivation, and another night of uninterrupted night of sleep to recover. Blood samples were taken from the participants each morning for gene analysis. The results indicated that just one night of partial sleep deprivation activated gene expression patterns in cells that sped up the process of biological ageing. Biological ageing is defined as the rate at which cells and organs deteriorate, which causes our bodies to lose certain functions. In other words, not getting enough sleep can make you look old and your cells to become old more quickly. Study leader Judith Carroll adds, “Our data supports the hypothesis that one night of not getting enough sleep in older adults activates important biological pathways that promote biological ageing.”
