I read this in USA Today this morning.

New data out from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed that sexually transmitted disease cases increased significantly in 2014, with cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis up for the first time since 2006.

It’s not clear why the rates are going up, so the CDC is calling for more research to find the cause, with suspects including lack of awareness or problems with access to testing.

Although women and young people are the most affected by STDs, according to the CDC, increasing rates in men in 2014, including among men who have sex with men, are contributing to the overall increase.

I can believe that.  With apps like Tinder, GRIDer and Jack’d I’m sure people are hooking up and being reckless.  Please protect yourself.
