More creative minds are better than none

Your mind is your self-captain. If you nourish it, it’ll make the right decisions and lead you the right way. If you ignore or feed it with the wrong stuff, it’s going to do the exact opposite. As I have emphasized many other times before, it’s extremely important that you learn to take care of your brain.

To get going, your brain is like a supercomputer only that it’s more complex than any computer ever made. If you want to become a success, you have to create an atmosphere where your brain operates optimally. Studies suggest that basic influences such as stress, life experiences, knowledge and even genes shape how the brain develops and functions. Below, I’m going to share 3 keys that can help empower your brain.

Positive Thinking

A lot of people do not believe that they can master knowledge, learn and become ‘smart’. Such deeply-held beliefs can heavily shape your destiny as a human being. There’s a quite some work needed for you to be able to change these beliefs. Positive thinking is one excellent way to go about it. Whenever you strongly think or feel that you cannot be able to accomplish something, try to challenge that thought with fact. Get in front of a mirror every morning before you start your day say positive things about yourself. Try to make positive phrases around the ‘I AM’, ‘I CAN’ and ‘I WILL’ statements.

Acquire Knowledge

However you think you are, have it in mind that knowledge comes from God, people, books, experiences and other ‘knowledge sources’. No one is immune from learning. You just have to invest the right time and effort. But it’s not all knowledge that you gather out there is true. Your mind actually has the task of acquiring this information and making an evaluation to find out whether it’s true. The point though is that you should become passionate about learning so that you can empower your mind.

 Discipline Yourself

Discipline is crucial. For you to make any real change from your current situation to a better situation, you have to fight procrastination and reign in your discipline. One of the things you can do to get your discipline in order is to remove temptations from your life. When it comes to self-control, the old adage ‘out of sight, out of mind’ holds. Also, make sure that you eat healthily and regularly. If you have made some mistakes in the past, forgive yourself and really move forward. And when you achieve something worth rewarding yourself for, schedule breaks and give yourself a treat. Don’t wait till it ‘feels right’ to do something that you know would be good for you. The time to get started is RIGHT NOW.

Anyone has the power to empower their mind. It takes time and effort to learn things that are actually going to make all the difference. Have it in mind that knowledge acquisition is very essential. Learn and learn, eliminate self-inflicting beliefs and get the discipline to move forward.
