Suspect Shot During SWAT Scene
A woman was shot and killed by a police officer at the end of a SWAT standoff in Houston’s Heights area. The standoff began Tuesday night and lasted for seven hours. Police had tried to de-escalate the situation using negotiators, but after the woman made threats and pointed a gun at officers, they opened fire. The officer who shot the woman is on administrative leave while the incident is under investigation.
